This Is How We Do It – Complete 9 Campaign missions on Heroic – 30000 cR

This is, very much indeed, how we do it.
9 missions would take you through the whole game – if you’ve not finished campaign this is a great opportunity to do just that. This was our first Weekly Challenge a year ago, so I had a feeling we’d see it again.
The main thing to note is that this says Heroic. Not Heroic or harder.
If you want to do this quickly then you could get through a simple mission like Winter Contingency or Nightfall (the link is the speedrun video) several times. You might want to have a look at your commendations and see what needs improving – if your vehicle kills/kills with vehicles are low then maybe go for Long Night of Solace, or Tip of the Spear. Headshots can be picked up in Nightfall, and heavy weapons and multikills using the Target Designator in ONI: Sword Base (all just examples).
The other thing to remember is that there will be Campaign challenges during the week. They might not be all for Heroic, but with this challenge we’re likely to see a few, particularly at the weekend. So as always don’t rush this in one day, let it come as you play through the other challenges and then finish it when you know you won’t be available to get more.
Final points – Noble Actual and Lone Wolf haven’t counted to this in the past. Legendary has counted, but why make it harder for yourself? Co-op should count if you want. And the save and restart trick might work, but who wants to do it with that kind of boosting huh?

THis weekly was super easy- I already had my account set up to commendation boosting (and no, i’m not using the boosting that much)

I had the same idea a while ago, but I don’t know what to do other than just play more Reach. Maybe someone else will have a good idea.
30K for 9 speed runs on nightfall (6mins x 9 runs = 54mins work) and only 17k for last weeks challenge???
these points need sorting out. Not complaining though easy points to gain here
30k for doing the cutscene glitch? I will hit field Marshall this week(haven’t had much time and this will get me close enough that I’ll only need a few hours of playtime in to rank up!)

Legendary DOES work for this. Do the flawless cowboy boost 9 times and challenge complete AND 9 more for your FC commendation.

This is the challenge I need to get me to play Reach a little more. This past weekend was probably my all-time low for Reach playing time. Anyway, I will probably take my sweet time with this challenge, just in case there are fitting campaign daily challenges during the week.
Weekly and all dailies done in 1 hour and 10 minutes. Booyah. Hello, Lego Batman.
ha i know the feeling. ive been doing the challenges then playing crimson alliance. that game is phenomenal (and i played lego batman way back when…so much fun)

Anyone know if co-op works or not?
i guess co-op should work, give the co-op a try on a speed run on nightfall. if it doesnt work you have only wasted 6 mins work.
I will be trying this on co-op tonight, but will be doing the speed runs shouldnt take too long and i would say its easier to run it on solo because on co-op my your allies shoot over the bridge with the sniper alerting all the enemies making it harder to get through the gate.
Yes, co-op works. I’ve done several campaign challenges with my girlfriend’s son. Only time co-op doesn’t work is if the detail specify doing it solo.

Question- my gold account expired today, wanted to do this challenge tonight will it still count with the silver account active?
The reason I haven’t renewed yet was to encourage myself to have a weeks break from reach to finnish another game but an easy 30,000cr are just too good to pass on.
I’m not totally sure, but it should since it’s only Campaign and not Matchmaking.
Should do. Start a mission on Heroic and check your challenges – if it’s not greyed out, then you’re good to go. Same applies to the co-op question above.
I have a silver membership and it lets me do the campaign and “any game mode” challenges. You just can’t do the matchmaking/firefight matchmaking ones.

not too sure how this one got here, dont remember typing that, may have been my brother, sorry bout that.
Awh i enjoyed last week’s challange dispite what other’s said. It was fun matchmaking and being one of the few who had actually completed it, the guide was easy to follow. This week’s weekly just feels like a grind rather than an actual challange, ah well easy point’s i guess.
I did the same except with the Free for all option. 30k in under 10 minutes!

This is dead easy if you want to avoid grinding it out… completed this in 15 mins flat earlier with the following method:
1) Set the game up, using nightfall, heroic, and then change the scoring options to “team”
2) Do a speed run of nightfall.
3) On the closing cut scene, “save and quit”
4) Continue solo campaign option on the screen
5) Rinse and repeat 9 times for 30K easy creds.
I actually pulled a game and did the “mack challenge” half way through to liven things up but this is a really easy completion and a fist full of creds for little effort
the save and quit works on nightfall as it does on WC?
As I saw yes, I had got through the speed run and as said used the “team scoring” option which is probably the difference as this then drop you out at the mission select screen where you in the beginning select which mission, Rally point etc, but when you finish the mission drops you back out to here instead of carrying on to the next mission.
Not at the Xbox ATM, so excuse the vague description.. far too much going on here, basically after the first run, just kept loading back in, seeing the pretty graphic then dropping back to the campaign mission select screen and rinse and repeat.
Great! I’ve usually done this on WC but Nightfall is more fun in case I get the urge to stop and smack the grunts.
Easiest way if your good at the nightfall Glitch is to get a checkpoint in the last area (on solo ofc.) and finish the level, then resume solo campaign. simple and really fast.

Got it done along with all the other challenges in one hour. I used the Nightfall cutscene glitch MadAmericanTacos told me about and it worked like a charm. I’m at Field Marshall right now and my gauge is halfway as a result of completing that challenge.
so you can repeat the same mission over and over and that will work for the challenge?

Anyone else not get the credits after completing this?
Does it show as completed in your challenge list? If it does, then you did get the credits. Campaign challenges quite often don’t show up in the credit report when you finish the mission for some reason.
Wait, wait, wait… You mean the weekly? It’s IMPOSSIBLE (well, legitimately – i.e. without challenge resetting) to finish this weekly in one day.
If you mean the campaign challenge, then I definitely got them! It was just being super slow about telling me that I had killed someone while jet-packing

I certainly got them! Scruff is right though, it does take a while for campaign challenges to show up as “completed”!
