25th October – Reach Daily Challenges Commentary

Monday 25th October, or Killathon day as it might be called, starts the week off with some intense shooting challenges.

Fire When Ready – 50 enemies isn’t hard, even if you’re only getting a few kills each time you’ll get there with repeat games. As I’ve said previously, Multi Team variants like Crazy King can help rack up this target in 2 games, although beware because one game of Rocket Race and you’re set back (top kills I’ve seen in a Rocket Race game is 6, and that was a team going for kills not points).

One Spartan Army – 400 kills also aren’t hard, 4 games of Gruntpocalypse and you’re there. The cR’s a little low for this, but what they hey, it’s still easy credits right? As always, Corvette helps keep your game short. Use DMR or Pistol to up your commendations, I often pick up a Plasma Launcher type weapon to take out groups as the waves start.

Short, Controlled Bursts – Automatic weapons are those that fire repeatedly, namely the Assault Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Plasma Rifle, Needler and Spiker. In Campaign you want a mission with lots and lots of enemies quickly. Winter Contingency’s probably a good one as it’s not too hard, and the enemies come quickly. Stick to Normal difficulty so you don’t have to spend too long. If you want a real challenge, try getting this in Lone Wolf!

Aggressive Negotiations – 17 in one game is fairly achievable in Team Slayer or Team SWAT, but remember what I said earlier about Crazy King or Slayer in Multi-Team? I think you’ll get there in one game if you can get either of those variants, remember to take it slow and don’t rush in to battles, pick people off after other’s have shot them up. If you can lay your hands on the Sword or Hammer and use Active Camo you can go on a decent run.

I’ll put up a post shortly about the Weekly Challenge.
