1st February – Reach Daily Challenges Commentary

Bucket loads of credits today, plus most are really easy to get…

Harder Than Some – Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Thunderstorm, Famine and Tilt on – 2500 cR

Nightfall’s usually a pretty good mission to do speed runs on. An old post has a lot of info on this, so use that to help get through. If you want other options, then Winter Contingency’s always the best one to go for. It’s short, and frankly most of you should know it like the back of your hand now!

Hyper Lethal Vector – Kill 200 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking – 3500 cR

2 games of Gruntpocalypse do this, so run through it twice quickly. Take your time, even when you shoot a Grunt in the body they usually won’t die so you can then re-align your shot and hit the head. You know it’s a headshot because you get the birthday explosion, which makes it a happy occasion! Be careful of using grenades, and Grunts throwing grenades, as they’ll whittle down your available headshots, but with two games you should have plenty spare to go around.

Un, Deux, Trois – Win 3 games in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1300 cR

If you play a Team Slayer/SWAT/Snipers etc you’ll get this easier, since only two teams gives you a higher chance of winning than the 6 person multi team (for instance).

Cook ’em, Clean ’em! – Kill 10 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking while you’re jet-packing – 1500 cR

Remember you have to be actively firing the jet-pack when the person dies to register it, otherwise you’re just falling with style. Normal multiplayer games (Rumble Pit, Team and Multi Team) and just firing short bursts when you’re about to kill someone – particularly with grenades or heavy weapons. Some useful places – grenades in Pinnacle when people are in the main loft area, Boardwalk again in the central sniper point. Similar to the Campaign challenge, the Hammer and Sword work well with this, just use the equipment and fire buttons at the same time.

Improved returns for these challenges today, almost a total 2000 cR more than when we’ve had them before which is pretty good.

Hey just to point out for the Hyper Lethal Vector challenge.. Score attach: Gruntpocalypse of course best place is holdout, you spawn right in front of an ammo crate and all the grunts come from both doors and very easy to headshot since it’s a choke and only so much can get thru at once so align with head and bam! And if u die keypad up once and you spawn right back! And choose the armor lock invase they stick you.

Hmmmm, Matthew, have you been copying and pasting old descriptions again?? Is it 10 or 20 jet-packing kills today?

    Thanks 🙂

And it’s not in a single game?? Sweet! I wish grifball had jetpacks…

Haha i can only imagine the carnage that would ensue 😀

As for Un, Deux, Trois – Grifball will be your fastest bet by far.

One of my favourite things about halo is how the gameplay changes to fit the challenges and most people play differently

Either that or Infection. If you happen to be human and you’re playing on Pinnacle (I think), go for the sniper post opposite the tower everyone seems to go for. I think I racked up a solid 20 kills up there before the end of the round. There’s only one way up, unlike the tower, and you can pick of the brain suckers as they run toward you. Any of ’em get close? Switch to the shotty and BAM! Zombie puree…
