I just wanted to let people know for the A Walk in the… Challenge today instead of going to Firefight matchmaking and hoping you can get into a game on Beachhead and kill 100 enemies, you can just go to Score Attack and keep choosing new round until you get a game of Gruntpacalypse on Beachhead. There you can EASILY get 100 kills since you are the only one in the game and you only kill grunts. I usually average 140 to 160 kills per game on Score Attack. I know for a fact it works on all the other Firefight Challenges. Im sure most of you already knew this but for the people out there that are like me and find new things about Halo: Reach out everyday, this will surely help.

Thanks Michael. If you read the commentary posts that I put up you’ll see that I recommended this very thing 4 hours ago. 🙂 Check the commentaries for the best methods of hitting the challenges quickly.

Oh, sorry. I swear i didnt read your post before i posted that! lol… Its just that i had a tough time getting some of the firefight challenges done before i found out about Score Attack. I try to complete all the challenges everyday and all the weeklys too. Right now im at 67 out of 77 multiplayer games for the weekly!

I mistakenly thought i averaged 140 to 160 kills per game of gruntpacalypse score attack, but i just did it and i got 119 kills. Sorry. 🙂

Yep – there’s five waves each containing 24 grunts. The next wave kicks off when there are three grunts left in the current wave (so the number of grunts in play at the beginning of any wave except the first could be 27).

I find it’s handy to know this so I can tell when a new wave is about to start and I should grab some ammo. To avoid counting dead grunts, use the spree medals to guide you (assuming you haven’t died) e.g. the second wave starts a few seconds after the 21st grunt is killed which is the grunt directly after you get the killing frenzy medal.

        Hope this helps.

BEACHHEAD also works the best for “FireFight Vehicular Kills”…as soon as you spawn run to the Rocket Warthog sitting right outside and drive straight out and to the left along side the wall and park it with the backend facing the wall…that way if any grunts do get close enough to shoot you the warthog can be more of a shield! Sit back and launch away! JUST make sure your ready for Reinforcements! A group of grunts will spawn near you towards the building and make sure you kill the Fuel Rod Cannon Grunt …or you’ll be sorry!

Does no one read my commentaries any more? Seriously, thanks MS, if you check out the very next post you’ll see I post a commentary daily which is a better place to add any tips you think of.
