One Spartan Army – Kill 400 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking – 2000 cR

You get 120 Grunts in Gruntpocalypse, about 100 enemies in Score Attack and something like 330 in a Firefight Matchmaking game (although split between up to 4 people). I recommend 3 Score Attack and one Gruntpocalypse, since you don’t always get the full amount in each game (usually Grunts and Brutes kill each other by accident with grenades), and Score Attack gives you a good way to up various commendations with the variety of weapons and enemy kills. And no, since this is in Matchmaking, the weekly doesn’t count towards this.

That Pink Mist – Kill 70 enemies with a Supercombine from the Needler or Needle Rifle in Firefight Matchmaking – 1000 cR

There are lots of options in the new Score Attack modes. FRG Attack gives you a Needler with unlimited ammo, but that only really works on the Brutes and Elites (and the Skirmishers if you can catch them in the open). In general I still recommend any game where you can pick up a Needle Rifle from a Jackal and put 3 rounds into an unshielded enemy to get the Supercombine. 2x Score Attack or Fiesta Attack would be good because you can get loads of Elites at the end. Make sure you get this challenge then start working on the previous one.

Neuroscience – Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1200 cR

Play on Team SWAT for this, where about 97% of kills should be headshots with one shot. Don’t forget if you shoot someone in the body you can still shoot them in the head for the headshot. Keep your reticule at head height as well.

Five-time Champ – Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking – 1750 cR

Team Slayer and SWAT will be excellent for this, as there are only two teams so a much better chance of winning than in multi team. If you are doing Multi Team, try objective based types and go for the objective itself, most teams don’t. I mean Crazy King, Oddball, Rocket Race. Grifball can be good if you’re ready to grab the bomb and score you can win really quickly.

As ever, make sure you add your own thoughts and tips to the comments.

5gMez of griffball is good too since a lot o people suck with the hammer in that game making it easy for your team to score if you can strart spawn killing.

  2. Kbalz says:

If I do four FF matchmaking games to complete the FF related challenges today, do they count toward the weekly challenge?

    • Joshua Dancer says:

It’s four sets in one game of FF, not four games. But, yes, they can be completed together.

      • Scruff UK says:

        No, they can’t.

The Weekly is only possible in custom FF.
The Dailies are only possible in Matchmaking.
The two do not go together.

  3. michael (DR HIGGLESTEIN) says:

Have any of you tried Skirmigeddon in the Score Attack playlist? Now THAT is a rough one! 😉

    • worst.game.ever.

who the hell came up with this and thought it’d be fun?!

      • michael (DR HIGGLESTEIN) says:

Yeah it is terrible. I have done it twice. The last time i did it i actually tried to get through it without dying, like that would happen. lol! I learned that the best way to kill them is to pick up a Needle Rifle. It does a lot better than any of the other weapons i have seen. I dont think i will be playing that one any more though!

      • rocket skirmageddon…now there’s something i think i could enjoy! 😀

      • Chris Atreides says:

Agreed. It’s right up there with ALL the Laso challenges and finding out there is no Santa Claus.

        C.A.

      • michael (DR HIGGLESTEIN) says:

Their is no Santa Clause!?…son of a ….

    • Niisama Broham says:

I hate the skirmmisher waves that occur during a normal FF. I really don’t remember them being that annoying. Did Bungie overhaul them recently (like within the last 1-2 months)?

I tried Skirmigeddon once on Beachhead… They had me pinned/bunkered-down/crying in the corner at the back of that long hallway… Terrible. Two of them with needle rifles can kill your shields in 1 second.

The hologram is the only thing that saved my butt and got me through the game with 3 lives remaining.

      • Niisama Broham says:

        See Skirmigeddon and think Gruntpocolypse?

        Its a trap!

        Don’t fall for it.

      • michael (DR HIGGLESTEIN) says:

Yep, their Needle Rifles turn into fully automatic machine guns!

    • Chris says:

Its a good substitute for SWAT , the skirmishers don’t have to constantly use the microphone for commentary/music sharing/telling Mummy what jnr’s upto/ etc etc they don’t also have to constantly refer to others as DUDE …. can I endure 4 more games of SWAT for 1750cr , on a Bank holiday , ….. nah too high a price to pay !

      rant over 🙂

      • michael (DR HIGGLESTEIN) says:

        Ok? LOL!

      • Corporal Alexei says:

Good call. My (least) favorite part is hearing how young these kids are and thinking to myself, damn, I’ve not really grown up the last few years (urgh, decades). 🙂

      • Chris says:

The whole growing up business is really over rated …….

Its good to experience teenagers now whilst they still know everything …… 🙂

        regards
        cjc

      • Scruff UK says:

Huh. I tend to get teamed with silent people (even though I’ve put “chatty” in my preferences), or French / Dutch / German / Italian folk. Never the kids.

A little tip though – if you’re going to mute anyone in a game, do it only once the teams have been selected and they’re on your team. People on the other team often don’t realise that before you see them, you can ohear them as they’re chatting away / smack-talking you 😉
