Commentary follows after the break…

More than a Handful  – Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking – 2500 cR

125? Time to get our grind on. Multi Team Battle is the best way to get lots and lots of kills, you tend to get more than any other mode. If you play Crazy King or Oddball you can get even more as some people who would shoot you go for the objective, and you can take them out. Seasoned Grifball players will also be able to get this in only a game or three, and if you can make an area in an Infection game defensible as a human you can rack up kills quickly.

Light Fare – Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1000 cR

If you want to do this specifically (as you’ll probably getting it just playing for the other challenges) then jump into something on Score Attack, maybe Gruntpocalypse, 2X Score Attack or Fiesta Attack to get it done quickly and rack up the kills.

Short, Controlled Bursts – Kill 50 enemies with automatic weapons in the Campaign today – 1000 cR

Automatic weapons are those that fire repeatedly, namely the Assault Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Plasma Rifle, Needler and Spiker. In Campaign you want a mission with lots and lots of enemies quickly. As usual, Winter Contingency’s a good one as it’s not too hard, and the enemies come quickly. Stick to Normal difficulty so you don’t have to spend too long. There are tricks in some places like Rally Point Bravo on The Package where you can get a checkpoint just before a group of Grunts so you can take out 5 quickly, then restart checkpoint and do it again. Oh, and do this before you hit the weekly challenge because you’ll find it hard to take too many out with AW’s in LASO.

Triple Thrill – Earn any 3 sprees in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 2000 cR

This should apply to any spree, not just kills. So you can get sprees using:

  • Hammer
  • Shotgun
  • Sniper Rifle
  • Plasma Grenade sticks
  • Sword
  • Vehicles (two here – kills in vehicle where you do the killing, and kills as driver with passenger killing)
  • Spartan Laser
  • Assists
  • Some for specific variants of Juggernaut, Invasion and Infection

See the list on Halopedia for everything. What’s easiest to get? Well trying to get 5 kills with a Hammer, Sword or Shotgun nets you two straight away. Through in some Grenade sticks and you’ll be there. Vehicles might be another easy way to do it in Invasion, team up with someone so you can work on your assist levels too. Grifball of course is a good one if you can get your Hammering eye in and take out a load of guys in a row. And although I’ve not tried it everyone says that Infection is really good if you can Shotgun 5 zombies that’s your three sprees done (shotgun, zombie and killing).

If you have thoughts, tips, questions, ideas, suggestions, opinions, rants or anything else you want to say add it into the comments.

For the sprees,go to infection and should get it there. for kills, i would say grifball.im not doing the weekly tho 😛

  2. Shobaleader One says:

Checkpoint Bravo on The Package is the best option for the automatic kills – you get 8 enemies at a time not 5, so using the checkpoint restart can net you the 1000 credits in about 2 minutes

  3. Subject 6x says:

The easiest way to do the 3 sprees is in invasion spawn sprees count and I usually get 2 sprees from spawns then a killing spree in one game

    • Shobaleader One says:

i forgot about spawn sprees actually – you could do this in big bro slayer or invasion in a team of 2 really easily then, if you take it in turns to repeatedly die then spawn on your friend (who is safely hidden away). it may harm your k/d but it will help you gain a few credits haha

  4. Sir Galahad 63 says:

Why does bungie make u use the iron skull in the weekly?! I hate it, and its just annoying!
Oh, and yes Matt, yesterday was slow, sorry about that 🙂
can anyone give an estimate on how long it will take to do the weekly, as in 2 hours, 3?

    • Coacomo says:

it will take about 3 or so hours to do the weekly if you rush through the levels

  5. Clone 066 says:

I don’t do the LASO, too frustrating. Looks like it’s grifball all day for me. Hopefully I can get the killing frenzy being ae to spawn kill.

  6. Sir Galahad 63 says:

Anyone brave enough to do the LASO make sure to take advantage of the club ererra Easter egg, makes it so much easier than battling it out with 6 hunters :p does anyone know any more tricks to make it easier??

    • My Name Is says:

Tyrant, the guy behind the famous Mythic run walkthroughs, created a video with some helpful tips. For New Alexandria, you can use a Banshee to turn the dreaded hospital into a relative breeze.

      Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBi91nXfHTk
The New Alexandria tip starts at about the 7:01 mark.

Also, when you are trying to do the teleport to the outside part in the video, make sure that you stay in the Banshee until the Jet Packs themselves despawn. Otherwise, you won’t teleport outside and all of the enemies will eventually spawn. Nothing more fun than having to restart the mission and do everything again like I did…

      • Shobaleader One says:

Or you could just grab the jetpack from the bar underneath the door you come in from and walk up the middle of the dance floor, jetpack to the jammer, turn it off, then jetpack away safely – not faffing on finding any switches and most definitely not battling any of the 4 hunters 😀

  7. Matt says:

Yeah looks like the first two daily challenges are very doable in Grifball. I’m going to bank on the last being doable as well if one sticks to the hammer and gets the feint timing down when challenging opponents; the bomb with the shielding may make it easier to endure through the 5 necessary kills but obviously will not award the hammer spree. I typically do auto weapons challenges on the start of Sword Base because you don’t need to do the set-up as in The Package and with a few well-timed grenades can kill some Elites with the AR too.

  8. Matt says:

Just finished the daily challenges for today. Did #3 on 10 minutes on ONI Sword Base (mission start), the remainder in 4 games of Grifball lasting approx 30 minutes – even hit the 3 sprees in Game 1 with two Hammer Sprees. Hit Onyx for Close Quarters (wasn’t expecting that!) and got a nice jackpot.

Fair warning: There are a lot of people unfamiliar with Grifball playing it today to get the challenges, so if you have a good team you may go +30 or more in a game – but on the other hand, you could be the punching bag 🙂 .

I played my first game of SWAT yesterday (reg SWAT on Asylum) and got quite a lot of kills there – my one teammate and I beat a team of four handily by being better at strafing and not needing to scope with the DMR. Something to consider if you’re looking for high kills, trying to salvage K/D, and don’t like Grifball.

  9. Steve says:

Thanks to the new way to skip the hospital, the weekly is cake for anyone well versed in laso.

  10. Elite Eliwood says:

the weekly is eaasyyy :O:O:O just get secondary controller, and for tricks (teleportation) pm me GT: Elite Eliwood

  11. Elite Eliwood says:

    Hey guys Eliwood here.
A bit off topic but i have been using this blog for quite a while now, and i see so many questions i can answer, but i don’t.
So that’s why i’ll be here to comment and help people aswell 🙂

I’d like to start with making LASO this week EASY.
I did it and it wasn’t even half as hard as last times EXODUS.
I guess everyone has a secondary controller 😉

-Use a secondary controller as guest, this way you can die without having to start all from 0, but instead the last checkpoint. This relieves like 80% of the stress of any LASO.

-Whatever your first objective is, does not matter.
    >The club building, use the easter egg that makes the club active, thus none will attack.
(You can find it on tyrant’s guide)

-Whenever you defeat ANY turret, take it from up far, won’t be a problem at all.

Now the actuall TIPS that make this mission so easy.
-When your in the hospital, and you made your way trough it till you find the generator, you move your secondary controller up in the lobby near the exit.
-activate the generator and don’t move with your main.
-use your secondary controller and go into the falcon when you get ordered to.
-Fly away untill your main controller gets teleported out.
    Simple 🙂

-If you don’t get teleported out, no worry, land your falcon on the roof of the walkway where the elite rangers should be, then fly back to the exit. Then take your main controller and walk without any elites back to the lobby :3

I love LASO challanges now, because they are challanging at times, but ALWAYS do-able.
the key factor in any mision is: Distance & take it slow

  12. Elite Eliwood says:

    3 sprees? Easy!
I must admit i used these guys help here 😉
    1> infection on pinnacle.
Just kill 5 in a row with a shotgun, and you get 3 different sprees.

2> just do some invasion slayer, or big bro slayer.
You only have to stay alive while a team mate dies 15 times, hiding is the best option.
But hey, a whole game lasts like what? 30 minutes? Why don’t you just kill a bit sometime so you won’t be like a hiding jerk :3

    • Subject 6x says:

What I tend to so is hide get a spawn spree then help with the objective and then repeat, usually I can get 2 because I will try and force a spree with kills then only one away, remember though, in invasion only 1 teammate will spawn on u, mine have been quitting on me today, wish I had a group of six to help me out

  13. For the sprees I got a spawn spree in bro slayer. Just hide and let them spawn.

  14. cubedude925 says:

I’m Nearly done with the weekly. If only I did it Like eliwood said, but I have learned that Teleporting is evil. When your tank teleports with you in it into the middle of a firefight on the package, then it is bad. I am just going to do the Laso Solo because I have used about 14 save and quits and I am not tired of it. Yet.

    Oh well. See ya’ll later.
I’m still up for helping others Co-Op it, but not until the weekend.
