Commentary follows after the break…

Blastin’ and Relaxin’ – Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach – 1350 cR

You’ve got a few choices for doing this really easily and quickly…

  • Forge – make a game with players spawning in one spot and camp it
  • Firefight – Download my Firefight Invincible game type on my File Share, lots of Elites, lots of medals, lots of kills
  • ONI: Sword Base – Use the Target Designator trick (run past everyone at the beginning, grab it, turn around, fire, wait for the killing to stop and restart the checkpoint)
  • Package – There are points where you can get a checkpoint just before a number of Grunts appear in the final battle, so you can gun them down and restart

Sticky Icky Icky – Earn 4 sticky grenade Kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1300 cR

Slayer Pro has no armour lock and one loadout with Plasma Grenades. Invasion is excellent too since it’s really good for sticky grenades in the first round. DinoBlasters can be surprisingly good since no one tends to look out for the grenades, especially when you’re in Zealot type maps.

Aggressive Negotiations – Earn at least 17 kills in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1700 cR

17 in one game is fairly achievable in Team Slayer or Team SWAT too. Crazy King or Oddball in Multi-Team should get you there in one game if you can get either of those variants, remember to take it slow and don’t rush in to battles, pick people off after other players have shot them up. If you can lay your hands on the Sword or Hammer and use Active Camo you can go on a decent run. Of course our old friend Grifball is really the king of large kill volumes, even I could get 17 in that (probably). I’ve found Halo Ball Extreme to be really good for kills too, although might be harder to get as it’s in Action Sack.

Explosive Ordnance Distribution – Earn 5 kills with ordnance weapons in a multiplayer Matchmaking game – 1250 cR

EOD weapons include: Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Spartan Laser, Plasma Launcher, and the Concussion Rifle. The very best mode for this is now DinoBlasters, found in the Action Sack game types. You’re given a Concussion Rifle with an unlimited clip, so 5 kills should be really simple.

The 17kills in one game would be easy if you play infection as long as you get at least 2 rounds as human. Today i earned a rare 51 kills in one game!

The sticky and ordance challenges are easy in a game of dinoblasters.

I really hope that the next weekly is either firefight or campaign. I dont play enough in a week to earn enough kills or games. I usaully earn 100000 cr on the weekend although.

    Sorry for the long comment

  2. mickoboy90 says:

easy, easy, easy and easy. for sticky one, jump into rumble pit with a friend and take turns to get sticks 🙂

    • have fun banhammer will catch you =) FYI if you AFK then your done reset

      • WarZombie says:

If a friend jumps in with him, it won’t be AFK. That’s called boosting. I’ve got a brother, we’re probably just going to do the same thing.

      • mickoboy90 says:

Banhammer for once in a while for 4 kills??other than that,we never boost, only if its like sticky kills or something. and we have never AFKef.

      • Shane says:

        Micko’s plan is fine.

Unlike the 5 vs 3 game of Grifball I endured the other night – I was one of the 3 getting betrayed until the other team passed the ball to the 4th on our team who then hid behind them for the entire, full-length five rounds. Grrrr, partial party boosters! Bad week for it as well.

  3. Woody says:

Dinoblaster? Hmm… I’m going to have to give that a try. As long as I’ve had Halo Reach, I have never tried any of the Action Sack games.

  4. Brightside says:

I wish they would make these challenges for firefight matchmaking as well. (The 4 sticks and 5 Ordnance kills) Most of the time people don’t even vote for the right mode with the stuff in it.

17 kills were easy enough though, as is the 180 kills.

    • bennadler says:

Except that 4 sticks and 5 Ordinance kills would be super easy in Firefight. Load a game of Firefight Arcade, and all it takes is selecting the Rocket Launcher class. 5 kills and challenge over. That’s not much of a challenge.

  5. TheOneInYellow says:

A bit late of a post (and a bit long…), but I think this post may still be useful to those who are yet to start or complete the challenges.

I got three of four of those challenges within 30mins of the challenges going live, one game 🙂

After the challenges became live at 11am (UK GMT), I knew that the best playlist to get the ordnance challenge was in Action Sack, DinoBlaster’s.
So, to my surprise, it came up as an option, on Zealout O_O
I’m okay with this map, but I remember being pawned the last time I played DinoBlaster’s on it. When I started, I realised I also had plasma grenades, so I tried to get the ‘Sticky Icky Icky’ challenge first, alongside the ‘Explosive Ordnance Distribution’.
After some time, not only was I playing well, I was pawning the other team, save for one of their players also getting high kills. Eventually, after our team won, I on my team and one of the enemy team’s member got very high kills, as well as completing three challenges.

I highly suggest this map and gametype for these reasons:
Zealout has extremely close objects to all players all the time (many walls, floors and strong surfaces/structures).
The bottomless and infinite ammo Concussion Rifles make use of the structures and features of Zealout, amplifying the overall power of the weapon. This is true for all players. The massive disadvantage is how dangerous, and hard, it can be to play the gametype, but if your lucky, you could and may be able to bring the PAIN to the enemy with flair.
Make sure you aim for the centre platform of the map, and look EVERYWHERE. This will make you a target, but will also bring the enemy towards you. As they jetpack, or run, towards you, YOU have the advantage to shoot first. The platforms shield/wall-like features make it harder for enemies to hurt you unless they are above you or on the same plain. You can get hurt from below and the sides, but you should be safe from such angle attacks. Obviously, they can use this tactic to, so check where you spawn, and judge well on how to approach the centre.
As all players have jetpacks, I STRONGLY recommend to use them ONLY for transport; DO NOT SHOOT WHILST JETPACKING. It makes you a very easy target, and throws your aim badly.
If you need a breather, go to the outskirts of Zealout, as the enemy seldom approaches these areas. You can also use SPACE for some assistance, but its very dangerous to venture up there.
The sticky grenades are a bonus, and as Matthew said, the enemy will (probably) NOT be alert to your throwing prowess.

In any case, there will be BRAWL and mayhem and screaming and loud noises and sploshions (thus causing visual impairment to your screen, as well as EYE STRAIN >_<) and general fun/frustration, so just shoot whenever you see the enemy, and don't BETRAY by doing mindless spraying.

    Have fun….ish? ^_^'

  6. db says:

what is this weekends super jackpot and double slot machine? i swear, the updates never come up for me anymore.

  7. disturbeddaddy says:

I heard that the super jackpot will be with the Invasion playlist, probably to get people to quality for BTB all stars after 6/23 . . . (can’t remember where I heard it)

  8. Stephen says:

Anyone know what the super jackpot is? I haven’t gotten a message yet… I agree with the above post though, that if any playlist, it would be in Invasion.

    • This Machine says:

      Team objective unfortunately…

      • Shane says:

I like a little Team Objective :-). Much better than Living Dead or Flagstravaganza with that horrible community map everyone keeps picking. Plus, the last three weeks I’ve played hours on a Friday evening (PST) with no Jackpot. Today I hit it in game #4 or #5!
