Halo Reach Weekly Challenge & Commentary – w/c 19th September

This week’s challenge is below, click Read More to view the commentary:

Dedication/Time – Complete 10 Daily Challenges this week – 25000 cR

Commentary follows after the break…

Dedication over Time = 25000 credits. Nice. Very nice indeed for only 10 challenges. And when you see the amount of credits now being given for challenges you’ll be with me in hoping we’ve returned to the heady days of Q1-11 when we’d be getting 7k minimum per day.

Anyway, quick and easy ways to get 10 daily challenges? My best recommendation is to get them as quickly as possible, in case they start making every day’s challenges all LD or something. Of course I’ll have commentaries up every day on how to get them quickly, so you can use that if you’re stuck.

And if you see anyone today or tomorrow with the Weekly Challenge complete then you know they’re cheating!!

If you want to know how to get notifications of these challenge commentaries it’s easy… you can follow on Twitter, join the Facebook group or just subscribe to the site using the email option on the right to receive the challenges and a link to the commentary straight into your inbox.

Only 10 challenges? I love all the much higher credit boosts but 343 are making these challenges a bit too easy for all those credits…..

    • Yeah its kinda like they are trying to buy our love and affection lol.

      • Zidane says:

        Ooo were cheap 😉

      • Woody says:

Well, I’m sold to them. LoL

      • Me too! I had to take a break from Reach for a while cause my eyes were startign to bleed around the time I hit Hero. I think this is the week to get back into it! I played Black Ops for a while but it just isn’t as fun to me for some reason, however I am looking forward to GOW3 tomorrow!!

      • SensoryFour34 says:

So am I. 😀 I guess this means I actually have to play Reach for a while instead of Gears. Oh well. I’m sure I can spare enough time for a few easy challenges.

  3. Scruff 815 says:

    Well played, 343. Well played.

This is actually my favourite semi-regular weekly! It’d be nice if it was more like “complete 16-20 challenges” instead but hey, I’ll take it.

    • gans42 says:

yeah, but if 343 did 20 challenges, theyd theyd have to make it a 50k weekly, and theyre not THAT generous 😉

  4. Woody says:

Last time we had a similar challenge, I think we had to get 24 dailies in one week. Ten challenges is too generous. I smell a rat in this weekly (lol). Like Matthew said, they could start dishing out a bunch of LD challenges or if they want to pick on me personally, win “X” amount of matches with sniper rifles. I’m definitely taking advantage of these dailies as early as possible.

  5. Sir Galahad 63 says:

Weekly, done and dusted, no probs. 25 000cR easy, for only 13mins work with just a laptop, thumbdrive, Ethernet cable and an Xbox 🙂
    Ok I’m kidding, I haven’t done it yet, but I could… not.
When we last had a “complete x amount of challenges in a week”, what was the cR payout? Because I have never seen a weekly go over 18 000cR until 343 took over.

  6. Zidane says:

I will be definately getting these done today just in case they have something up there sleeve

  7. Alec says:

I wonder if we are getting this easy challenging / high cR mix to combat the Gears release.

    • Matthew Vose says:

That gets my vote. I wonder how much they debated whether it should be 10, or a higher number.

      • Jesse says:

Could be that there are now so many high ranked players, that it takes forever to get promoted. Keeping us interested via the higher payouts, maybe??

      • SensoryFour34 says:

I think it’s a pretty good idea. It’s definitely gonna get me to play Reach more than I was planning on.

  8. Marshy 40 says:

I’m shocked … we’ll have to actually wait until Wednesday to get the weekly. I was getting used to getting the weekly on Monday lol.

  9. Krandyt says:

Wow! Last week and this week are just the kind of challenges I was hoping for, large payout with little effort needed, xbox time has been cut dramatically over last few weeks with my 2nd daughter bieng born do this is just what I need to help with the push to field marshall, thankyou 343i! 

    • Matthew Vose says:

Awwww, congratulations!!! How old is your eldest? 🙂

      • Krandyt says:

Thanks Matthew, oldest is 3 so I kinda forgot what it was like having a baby in the house, lol, 

      • Pedle Zelnip says:

Awww, congrats, my 1st was born 4 months ago so I know what it’s like to have that sudden “dip” in playing time.

  10. crazybydefault says:

At first I wasn’t too sure what to think of 343 when they took over the challenges. Now I love them! 😀

  11. Zidane says:

I think the guy who usually comes up with challenges is on holiday, hopefully for two weeks 😉

  12. Shane says:

Yes! I love these “challenges” / free credits – only 3.5 million more credits to go 🙂

  13. 'Cos says:

Good luck. I’ll see you there at some point. But with the increased payouts coming our way it hopefully won’t take too long. I wanna play Gears 3 at some point myself. Halo:CEA is a given…

  14. silver-elite says:

Its nice for everybody who has a gold subscription, buit mine is over and i havnt had the money to get a new one. im not sayign theye shoudl throw tons of them in, but with a challenge like this they could at least add a few more campagine challenges during the week.

  15. Jesse says:

Came across this gold mine of Halo 4 info – I think I’ll schedule my vacation for this release, and cocoon for a few days! 🙂
